BOGDANOVIĆ, DOLIČKI & PARTNERS Law firm Ltd., Zagreb, Miramarska cesta 24, registered in the court register of the Commercial Court Zagreb under number (MBS): 081449841, PIN (OIB): 33214546263 ("BOGDANOVIĆ, DOLIČKI & PARTNERS Law firm Ltd.") hereby informs you in accordance with Articles 12, 13 and 14 of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC („General Data Protection Regulation“) and the Act on Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (Official Gazette no. 42/2018) on the manner of processing of your personal data carried out by our law firm.

BOGDANOVIĆ, DOLIČKI & PARTNERS Law firm Ltd. is the controller in terms of the General Data Protection Regulation. This Privacy Policy („Policy“) gives you an insight into our procedures regarding the collection and processing of personal data.

  1. The categories of personal data, purpose and basis of personal data processing

BOGDANOVIĆ, DOLIČKI & PARTNERS Law firm Ltd. collects and processes the following types of personal data:

  • personal data of employees and former employees in accordance with the employment contracts and the applicable regulations;
  • personal data of clients in accordance with the agreements on provision of legal services, granted powers of attorney, in the provision of legal services in accordance with the Legal Profession Act;
  • personal data of other persons in connection with the business cooperation with the clients, when this is necessary for the purposes of protecting our clients’ interests in connection with the legal services we provide (e.g. data necessary for the conducting of a procedure), and refer to, for example, counterparties and other persons such as witnesses, contact persons etc.;
  • personal data of business partners and other associates in accordance with the concluded contracts and the applicable regulations;
  • personal data of potential clients, as well as potential employees, who contact us by e-mail or in another manner, for the purpose of contacting and possibly providing of legal services, i.e. potential employment.

We may collect the above types of personal data directly from you or from the counterparty, or electronically (through e-mail communication) and from publicly available sources.

We process your personal data on one of the following bases:

  • consent to the processing of personal data that you have given us for one or more specific purposes;
  • when the processing is necessary for the execution of an agreement to which you are a party;
  • when processing is necessary to comply with the legal obligations of our law firm; or
  • when processing is necessary to protect the vital interests of you or other natural persons.

In accordance with the applicable regulations, as attorneys at law we are we are bound by the attorney-client privilege in relation to everything that you as a client have entrusted to us or that we have learned in some other way while representing you as a client, and the duty to keep a clients’ secret applies to our current and former employees.

If you have given your consent for the processing of personal data for a specific purpose, you have the right to withdraw it at any time. The withdrawal of the consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

The provision of personal data is not mandatory, but any refusal to provide such data may prevent our law firm from concluding an agreement with you for the provision of legal services, responding to your requests, providing legal services, receiving and processing your application and/or complying with its legal obligations.

Our internet page does not use so called “cookies”.

  1. The personal data recipients

Attorneys at law, associates, as well as other employees of our law firm in charge of administration and mail delivery may have access to your personal data.

When it is in accordance with the purpose for which certain personal data are collected and processed, BOGDANOVIĆ, DOLIČKI & PARTNERS Law firm Ltd. may enable access to your personal data to: accounting service providers, providers of IT and communication services, other entities within the scope of services they provide to us or that we provide to them or with whom we otherwise cooperate, competent authorities and public authorities in accordance with our legal obligations and if necessary to other entities when it is necessary for the fulfilment of our legal obligations and/or the obligations we have assumed by the agreement concluded with you. If the transfer of personal data to third countries would be necessary in any of the above cases, we will take measures to ensure that the transfer is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Personal Data Protection Regulation.

  1. The personal data retention period

BOGDANOVIĆ, DOLIČKI & PARTNERS Law firm Ltd. keeps the collected personal data for as long as is reasonably necessary to achieve the purpose for which the personal data has been collected, i.e. the time prescribed by the applicable regulations in force.

  1. The rights of data subjects

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right at any time to request from BOGDANOVIĆ, DOLIČKI & PARTNERS Law firm Ltd. access to your personal data that we process and rectification of incorrectly stated personal data. In cases prescribed by the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to erasure of personal data and to restrict processing, as well as the right to data portability. Also, you have the right to object to data processing and the right to lodge a complaint to the Personal Data Protection Agency.

Any amendments of this Policy will be published here and in case of changes the date of entry into force of the revised Policy will be indicated.
